Castor Oil, Certified Organic by USDA
The use of cold pressed castor oil is traditionally used in folk medicine. It is a tasteless and odorless but thick oil, when pure it has a light yellow appearance. The oil is also used as a rub or pack for various ailments including muscle pains. A castor oil pack is used in massage and spa environments to treat sore muscles and a variety of other pains. A pack is made by soaking a piece of flannel in castor oil, then putting it on the affected area and placing a heat source, such as a hot water bottle, over it.
